Positions Available:



Production Planner

The Production Planner develops and monitors a monthly, weekly and daily production schedule. The Production Planner coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials. Duties include developing, reviewing and distributing production, work and shipment schedules; discussing with Production, Customer Service and Transportation to determine progress of work and completion dates and inventory levels

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer expectation
  • Analyzes and prepares documents needed for production, which includes the creation of production reports and other associated documentation for the plant to manufacture and package its products
  • Analyzes production data daily and uses such data to make recommendation to support raw material supply and finished goods demand
  • Creates production schedule and prioritizes job-orders for production optimization, plans production based on products that are at or below minimum stock levels, plus reviews and updates minimum stock levels when necessary
  • Maintains the production schedule and other reports as required
  •  Coordinates any new orders into the production schedule
  • Determines when and if an order can be expedited
  • Conducts periodic inventory counts on high-usage items (such as raw material, packaged goods, etc.) to ensure the plant does not run out
  • Coordinates needs of raw material, components, packaging, etc. with the Supply Chain Team
  • Monitors NetSuite (ERP) to ensure required data is available and accurate, if inaccurate contacts appropriate parties to have data added or corrected
  • Works with Production Supervisors to expedite flow of materials to meet production schedule and customer expectations
  • Reviews order forecast with Transportation to ensure no delays
  •  Confirms stock availability with Sales, Transportation and Supply Chain Team and if products are not ready (or available), supply an ETA (when possible)
  • Completes weekly status reports for production progress, work in process and raw material inventory and conducts quarterly and year-end inventory counts
  • Works with Production Supervisors to manage and resolve daily issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or relay needed information from Sales, Transportation and Supply Chain Team
  • Responds to inquiries from Sales, Production, Transportation and Warehouse on inventory levels/ETA on certain products
  • Works to continuously improve the processes surrounding production communication, inventory control and order fulfillment
  • Works with Supply Chain Team and agrees on order delivery promise dates to the customer, provides feedback on any delays in a timely fashion
  • Coordinates product needs through services


  • 5 years’ experience in the field or related area (fabrication manufacturing experience preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Statistics or other technical-oriented field a plus
  • Professional certification by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) preferred
  • Thorough understanding of MRP/ERP as it relates to production planning and inventory management, NetSuite experience a plus
  • Proficient in business software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Very detail oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities to meet required deadlines
  • Good customer service/phone skills and flexibility for handling a wide range of activities

The Packer/Inspector inspects and packages material and high value-added tubular products according to customer specifications.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Examines material or product for surface defects such as cracks, pits and incomplete weld
  • Touch up product as needed using hand sander, pencil grinder, polish or other finishing device process
  • Compares product with parts list or sample model to ensure completion of assembly
  • Verifies specified dimensions of product or material
  • Rejects defective parts and marks type of defect on part, container of parts or inspection tag
  • Packages product according to specifications (folding, wrapping, inserting enclosures, closing and sealing containers and applying labels or identifying data) in order to meet required shipments
  • May use a forklift to assist in loading or moving materials and products

Machine Operator (1st Shift & 3rd Shift)

Leonhardt Manufacturing is looking to fill a 1st Shift Machine Operator position (M-TH 5AM-3:30PM) and a 3rd Shift Machine Operator position (S-W 6:30PM-5AM) . The Machine Operator operates machines requiring a normal amount of skill to change the shape or conditioning of new materials.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined part to specifications using the “In Process Check Sheet” (Green Sheet)
  • Checks for any quality alerts in their respective areas (Light Booths)
  • Follows the production control board for run quantities
  • Keeps area clean and clutter free
  • Recognizes and able to make minor adjustments to program to correct part fitment or appearance
  • Performs quality checks as per the “In Process Check Sheet” (Green Sheet)
  • Follows daily operating plan for the machine which includes safety and mechanical checks


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous manufacturing experience a must
  • Previous CNC experience is preferred
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is important

MIG/TIG Welder (1st Shift)

Leonhardt Manufacturing is looking to fill a 1st shift Welder position, M-TH (5AM-3:30PM). The welder must be able to weld aluminum, stainless steel and carbon steel as specified by the layout, welding diagram, work order or blueprints.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand
  • Performs MIG and/or TIG weld based on project needs
  • Sets up components for welding according to specifications
  • Determines the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements – can weld to desired requirements
  • Examines weld for bead size and other specifications
  • Tests and inspects welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws i.e. to pass leak check and MT check
  • Chips or grinds off excess weld or spatter
  • Sands or touches up weld with sander and/or grinder
  • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety


  • High school diploma/GED preferred
  • 1+ years’ experience with MIG and TIG welding preferred
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing of products
  • Ability to identify and measure material
  • Ability to produce quality products consistently
  • Willingness to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethic
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures and angle gauges
